Content Types: Messages
Messages are a means to give users access to important up-to-date information.
It is possible to publish messages to inform users of certain user groups about changes on important texts or making them aware of other current developments.
Messages can be published with a normal or high priority setting.
All messages have to be confirmed by each user of the target group. This ensures that all users receive all relevant information.
Messages can either be displayed in the Search Tab or in the Message Tab.
Under which conditions can a user see the messages in the message tab?
- The user is part of one of the target groups.
- The message is valid.
Under which conditions can a user see a message in the search tab?
1. All users may view a message in the search tab if the following requirements are fulfilled:
- The user is part of one of the target groups.
- The message is valid.
2. All users with the permission "May edit messages" can always see the messages they themselves have created in the search tab - independent of the validity or the target groups of the message.
3. Users can additionally see invalid messages (validity lies in the future or the past) in the search, if they
- have the permission "May edit messages"
- AND the user part of the target groups of the message
Tip: I don't seem to be able to delete irrelevant messages or those already read. How can I do that? |
A notification to a Serviceware Knowledge (SABIO) message is displayed in which way?
The notification to a new Serviceware Knowledge message will be displayed by certain interactions of a user. Whether a new message for the current user is available, Serviceware Knowledge is checking by
A user that uses Serviceware Knowledge actively, will be informed about the new message immediately after publishing.
Where can I find messages whose validity is not current? Serviceware Knowledge messages sent with a valid date in the future or have already expired, the author will find the In the source "All Content" in the Search Tab only valid messages are displayed. |
