Content Types: Suggestions
Users can create suggestions for texts.
This offers the opportunity to report errors or make suggestions for improvement to the editors.
All editors allowed to edit the text are able to edit the suggestions as well.
In addition, the author of the text will be informed by email when users add suggestions.
The opportunity to make suggestions to a text allows the user to give firsthand feedback to the editors, thus participating in shaping the system.
This is a very powerful way to improve the content of Serviceware Knowledge (SABIO) steadily and keep it up to date. Through this means the knowledge in Serviceware Knowledge (SABIO) can be adapted flexibly to the demands of the users.
Combined with short reaction times when editing suggestions this leads to a very high user acceptance of the system.
The user suggestions create an additional amount of work for the editors.
In a short term it is more work, but in the long term, it results in higher quality and motivation. An active user spares more work than causing it in the long run. The users are an abundant source of information. They are "at the front" and know best what information they need and which form of information suits their work best.
