Categories allow Serviceware Knowledge (SABIO) content to be structured in addition to the tree. Categories provide a way to search for content and filter it. This way, content related to a specific topic can be found quicker. Categories are maintained centrally in SABIO which reduces errors and ensures consistency within the system.
