General Structure of Categories

A category consists of a category title and a list of category values. There are no duplicate categories allowed in the system.

For each category a content type can be selected, to which the category can be assigned. Additionally, it can be defined if the assignment of the category is mandatory or optional for the previously selected content type.

Each category can be used as a facet to reduce the queries to certain category values.

It is possible to search for category values in order to find content.
