I don't seem to be able to delete irrelevant messages or those already read. How can I do that?

I don't seem to be able to delete irrelevant messages or those already read. How can I do that?

The message function must not be confused with an email inbox.
The administration of the messages falls to the editors and once a message is deleted, it is deleted for ALL users in SABIO.
