Release SABIO 5.39
Custom CSS
Custom CSS can be set globally for the entire system or for individual views now.
This helps you for example if you want to differentiate between different brands within your company.
In order to set global user-defined CSS you have to navigate to admin-tab > settings > content. Here you’ll find an input field where you can enter your custom HTML Code.
In this example color:white will lead to the font color to be white.
Background-color:blue will lead to the background of the text to be blue.
After saving and restarting the system the custom CSS will be applied to the system.
When creating or editing new texts the global user-defined CSS will automatically be adapted to the content field, so that the editor is able to see how their text will be displayed after saving.
In case you don’t want to set the custom CSS for the entire system or if you would like to additionally change the CSS for certain views you can do so in the settings of the respective view.
You’ll find the input field labeled CSS for content in this view in the editing mask of the views.
In this example color:white will lead to the font color to be white.
Background-color:black will lead to the background of the text to be black.
After entering the preferred HTML Code saving and restarting the system the custom CSS will be applied to the system.
Here is an example of how the custom CSS could look like in the system after the changes are applied:
color:white and background-color:black
Note: The responsibility for the custom CSS is up to you. So if there are strange stylings, we will only check whether the text looks as expected without the custom CSS applied.
Improvements in the approval process
History of process steps is visible
You can now follow the steps of the current approval process in the history field of the approval mask.
As soon as a new approval process is started the history of the old approval process is no longer available.
External Approvers only see the relevant UI for the approval process
It is now possible to define a role with just the permissions to see and approve texts. In this case the approver will only see the home tab and its sources “Approval”, “Bookmarks” and “History”.
Given only those relevant sources ensures that the user is not bothered by superfluous options and therefore doesn’t need any training.
Forwarding messages
Messages can now be forwarded by all users with the right to add messages.
In order to do so the message’s detail view has to be opened.
Clicking on the share icon in the toolbar opens a mask with the option to forward the message.
Selecting this option opens the respective message in the editing mask.
The target user groups to forward the message to have to be selected. You can adapt the message as you know it from creating messages.
Saving the message will forward it to the target user groups you set here. Forwarding a message will send a new message. The old one will stay untouched in the system and must be confirmed separately.
Foldouts and placeholders for pinboards
Foldouts and placeholders can now be integrated into pinboards.
The icons which you already know from the CKEditor toolbar in the editing mask of texts now also appear in the editing mask of pinboards.
Foldouts and placeholders function in the same way here as you know from texts.
Notifications in the top right corner
The administrator can now define for the notifications to be displayed in the top right corner rather than in the bottom right corner.
Per default notifications will be displayed in the bottom right corner.
However, if you feel like it is more convenient for the notifications to be displayed in the top right corner you can define this in the system settings under “Functions” by checking the box “Show notifications in the top right corner”.
History is sorted by date of request
Content found under the source “History” is now sorted by request date per default.
Duplicates are no longer listed here either.
This optimization makes it easier for the user to find the contents they are looking for.
English and German user manual
For users who are not familiar with the German language there is an English version of the user manual available in the user menu now.
Users who set their system to German will not experience any changes.
Users who set their system to any other language will find an English version of the user manual in their user menu.
