Moving Nodes
Nodes can be edited by Copy&Paste or Cut&Paste.
Any Action of this kind applies to sub nodes and texts enclosed to these nodes as well.
- Starting the editing mode of the tree via the context menu.
- Right-Click the respective node to be edited to open the context menu.
- Select menu item "Cut"
- Navigate to the node where it is to be inserted.
- a) With a right click on a node and selecting "Paste: Nodename" the new node will be pasted as a sub node.
b) With a right click on the "+"-icon appearing when hovering with the mouse between to nodes the cut node can be pasted in between two existing nodes. - Open the node via "Edit Tree Node" in the context menu and adjust the views.
Tip: Why should I check the branches for the inserted node? Most settings are of course copied together with the node. The branches are an exception from this general rule, because any node can only have views assigned that the higher nodes have. An example: You copy a node assigned to the branches A and B and paste it as a sub node to one assigned to branch C, the branch for the pasted node will be set to C. |
