How to Create a Tag

Tags can be added while creating or editing a text. The input field is right below the content. Tags will be saved on text save.

Required permissions to create Tags:

“May add texts” or “May edit texts”

Some rules have to be followed:

  • Multiple Tags can be added to the list separated by comma
  • Not allowed characters are ‘*’ and quotation marks
  • Not allowed as leading character are ‘#’ and ‘@’
  • Tags can be composed of multiple words
  • Upper and lower case are possible, but not considered in search
  • One Tag can be applied only once per text (lower and upper case are not relevant here)
  • Leading, closing or double blanks are not allowed
  • Leading or closing commas are not allowed

On save:

  • Check if only allowed characters were used. If not there will be an error message and the text can’t be saved.
  • Leading or closing blanks are removed
  • Double blanks will be reduced to one blank
  • If one Tag is assigned multiple times, there will occur an error message
  • Commas between two words separate them into two Tags
