Activating the Single-Level Approval Process

The single-level approval process can be activated by all users who have the role "Approval-Admin" assigned.
If the single-level approval process is activated, the respective text needs to be approved by only one approval user prior to its publication. 
The single-level approval process can be activated on tree node-level and on text-level.

Activating the Single-Level Approval Process on Tree Node-Level

The single-level approval process can be activated on tree node-level. To do this, the approval-admin opens the tree in the edit mode. He accesses the context menu and selects the option "Edit tree node". 

The following screen is displayed. Here, the approval-admin can determine the following approval settings. 

• Approval required: 
  Checking this box activates the approval process for the tree node. 
• Group:
  The user group that shall be responsible for the approval. Here all user groups are displayed that contain at least one approval user. 
• Approval user:
  The user who shall be responsible for the approval. 
• Apply approval settings:
  The extend of validity of the determined settings. The following options can be selected: 
   

  Setting	Result
  Apply here only	The settings are only applied to this tree node. Tree sub-nodes and texts linked to the tree node remain unaffected.
  Apply to tree sub-nodes	The settings are applied to this tree node and all tree sub-nodes. Texts linked to the tree nodes remain unaffected.
  Apply to all sub-content	The settings are applied to this tree node, all tree sub-nodes and all texts linked to the tree nodes.

   

Clicking on "save" saves the settings. The single-level approval process is activated now.

The single-level approval process can be activated on text-level. To do that, the approval-admin opens the text in the edit mode.
The following screen is displayed. Here the approval-admin can determine the approval settings. 

 

 

• Approval required: 
  Checking this box activates the approval process for the tree node. 
• Group:
  The user group that shall be responsible for the approval. Here all user groups are displayed that contain at least one approval user. 
• Approval user:
  The user who shall be responsible for the approval. 

Clicking on "save" saves the settings. The single-level approval process is activated now.
